The New Hyundai i10 (pictured) will cost from £8,345 – the same as the old i10
The 2014 Hyundai i10 – the new generation of Hyundai’s supermini – arrived officially at the Frankfurt Motor Show last month, and manages to offer a lot more than the old i10. Despite growing in size, getting better looking and offering more, not just in terms of size, than the current/last i10, Hyundai are starting pricing for the new i10 at the same level as the old model – £8,345. The new i10 will come with a choice of two petrol engines – the 1.0 litre 3-cylinder with 65bhp and 0-62mph in 14.9 seconds and the 1.2 litre with 86bhp and a 0-62mph of 12.3 seconds – as well as a choice of three trim levels – S, SE and Premium.
BMW Vision ConnectedDrive
We reported the other day that BMW were taking a roadster concept to the Geneva Motor Show, a car we expected to point the way to a new, smaller roadster – the BMW Z2. But it seems to be much more than just that. The BMW Vision ConnectedDrive – for that is the catchy little moniker BMW has attached to this concept – is a showcase for BMW technology and the layered styling language we’ve already seen in the Vision EfficientDynamics concept (can’t we have some snappy little monikers instead of Anglicising the German practice of just joining words together in a line to make a new word?).

Mercedes Vision C220 Bluetec: the lowdown
Mercedes' bigger, better and cleaner new C-class hogged centre stage at the DaimlerChrysler stand. The C is the bedrock of Merc's range and the company rolled out a slew of derivatives to mark the occasion - including the Vision C220 Bluetec, the first four-cylinder diesel with Merc's clean-breathing tech. Vision is a tag for Stuttgart's concepts that are a dead cert for the showrooms, so expect something very like this soon.
